First Draft 8D

Aim: The effectiveness of enzymes in laundry detergents on the removal of stains.

Independent variable: Presence Concentration of enzymes in laundry detergents.
Dependent variable: Amount of stain removed
Controlled variables: Type of stain to be used (Coffee), Amount of stain applied, Size of fabric used, Amount of detergent applied, Number of scrubs on fabric, Amount of water used.

Although different types of laundry detergents may or may not have enzymes (which then "presence of enzymes" would be a suitable independent variable) they may differ in contents such as bleach, softener etc. This would screw up the experiment as there will be more than one independent variable.
